Bucephalandra are a recently discovered genus of rare, slow-growing aquatic plants from Borneo that have taken the aquascaping world by storm. They come in hundreds of varieties with leaves ranging from round to narrow, in shades of green, blue-green, purple, and red. Like anubias, they should be attached to hardscape rather than buried. ⚠️ They are slow growers, new leaves appear monthly, but are very stable once established. In high light they show iridescent blue shimmer on leaves that is unlike any other plant. More expensive than common plants but highly rewarding.
