Ember Tetra

Hyphessobrycon amandae
Freshwater 🎓 Beginner

The ember tetra is one of the most beautiful nano fish available, a tiny, flame-orange fish that glows like a live coal against green plants. At just 2cm, they are perfect for nano and planted tanks of 20L+. Their color intensifies dramatically in soft, tannin-stained (blackwater) conditions. ⚠️ Only add to a fully cycled, stable tank, their tiny size makes them extremely vulnerable to parameter fluctuations. Keep in schools of 10+ for confidence and natural behavior. Feed micro-pellets, baby brine shrimp, and microworms.
