Ludwigia repens is one of the easiest red plants to grow in the aquarium hobby, under moderate to high light, the undersides of its oval leaves turn vivid red or orange while the tops remain green, creating a dramatic two-tone appearance. With CO2 injection and high light, the entire plant turns deep red. ⚠️ Without adequate light it remains green and grows leggy; increase light intensity to 50+ PAR for color development. Trim regularly and replant cuttings for a dense, bushy arrangement. One of the best red plants for beginners.
