The neon goby is a tiny electric-blue-striped fish that plays a remarkable role in reef ecosystems, it operates cleaning stations where larger fish queue up to have parasites, dead tissue, and debris removed from their bodies and gills. ⚠️ This cleaning behavior can be witnessed in home aquariums too, making them both useful and fascinating. They are reef safe, peaceful, and one of the few marine fish that breeds relatively easily in captivity, they are substrate spawners and make good parents.
