Snowball shrimp are named for the female's white eggs that resemble tiny snowballs visible through her translucent body. The shrimp itself is a clean, pearlescent white. They are a distinct species from cherry shrimp (not just a color variant), though care requirements are similar. ⚠️ Less common in the hobby than cherry shrimp, so source from reputable breeders. They are slightly more sensitive to water quality than cherry shrimp but still suitable for beginners with a cycled tank. Feed quality shrimp food, biofilm, and blanched vegetables.
