Staurogyne repens is a compact, low-growing foreground plant with small, bright-green oval leaves that creates a neat, bushy carpet-like effect. Unlike true carpet plants, it tolerates moderate light without CO2 but grows slowly without supplementation. It is particularly useful as a mid-foreground plant that bridges the gap between carpet plants and midground plants. ⚠️ Trim the tops to encourage bushy lateral growth; unpruned plants grow tall and leggy. Plant stem cuttings directly into substrate; they root quickly. Excellent companion to crypts and anubias.
