Yellow shrimp (also called yellow neocaridina or banana shrimp) are a cheerful, vivid lemon-yellow color form of the cherry shrimp group. Higher grades show opaque, deep golden yellow rather than translucent pale yellow. They are equally hardy and prolific as cherry shrimp. ⚠️ Like all Neocaridina, cross-breeding with other color variants produces wild-type brown offspring within 2–3 generations, maintain color purity by keeping variants separate. Graze constantly on biofilm and algae; supplement with blanched vegetables and quality shrimp food.
